This is an important feature, as it allows the user to focus more clearly on the audio coming out of the headphones.

  1. Active Noise Canceling on a set of headphones indicates that the headphones are designed to detect the frequency of ambient noise (such as car engines at a racetrack) .
  2. and then generate a tone that cancels it out.
