Laptop line out noise when using headphones
Symptoms
I hear a hum/buzz/white noise on my headphones when I plug in my AKG K702 directly into the headphone jack.
Diagnosis
Try checking these things.
Does it happens only when you're running on batteries?
Does it happen only when you're moving the mouse? Sometimes interference happens when the battery is running or too many USB devices are running on badly shielded wiring.
Solution
Try the following steps:
Upgrade your sound card drivers.
Next try muting or turning the volume down on the MIC input.
Finally, remove all other USB devices to see if that's the problem.
