If I make Stereo mix default, the microphone doesn't record and vice-versa.

The best thing for you would be to buy a small mixer. Behringer is inexpensive and totally suitable for home studio use 2

You need a better system with the right set of features to do what you want

It will mix one mic with the backing sound from a stereo source and then give you a signal you can record on to something else 2
