Tower speakers or 5.1 speakers?

hello 

I'm constructing a new house and i need suggestions for the audio. 

i was originally going for 5.1 system plugged into an A/V receiver in my room but now i am getting confused between two huge tower speakers and the original plan. ( something like this http://www.bowerswilkins.net/Speakers/Home_Audio/600_Series/683.html ). 

please suggest what would do more justice. 

my room is big (600 sq ft) and i'm a huge fan of bass. 

is there a possiblity that i can get a 2.1 or 2.0 system for rear and two towers for front? or any combination of those? if yes, how will the audio split properly when i see a blu ray movie or something similar? 

also please suggest a good 5.1 and tower speaker brand.
