How can I hook up a subwoofer with regular wire to my sound bar system?

I have a Samsung F35 soundbar and sub but I want to add my old sony sub woofer to the system but the subwoofer only has 2 bare speaker wire coming out of it. 


The sound bar has 1 optical input and one RCA input.

Not going to happen. Your soundbar was never designed for what you intend. Neither was the Sony sub. Your Sony sub requires an external amp. Your soundbar can't power anything but itself. Even if you could do it, the bass would overwhelm the sound coming out of the soundbar. As difficult as it may be for you to understand, there is more to sound than bass.
