Netflix problem?

Why does Netflix stop and sorta freezes up when i watch a movie, it will say, please wait, buffering? I have high speed internet with Comcast, no smart t.v, it feeds from the Sony blue-ray player via my Wi-Fi. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
