Hi I have the SCS135 5.1 surround sound system and it has worked like a dream for the past 8 years. This week the powered subwoofer has been emitting a loud crackling noise - even when no source cable connected [i.e. not connection problem or shielding]. Is it simply time to replace the system due to age or can it be fixed? Thanks

Hello, the make is Pioneer, and the model is the SA-510 (I guess that's the model?)Anyway, the right speaker volume is low and fuzzy, but it's not the speaker; I tried another set and the problem persists. This leads me to believe the input in the stereo is messed up somehow. I've tried two pairs of wires, and again, the speakers continues to malfunction. Any ideas? Thanks a lot. P.S. It's not the speaker balance knob, I already checked that.
