Place the Center channel speaker either above or below the TV -- depending on how high up on the wall your TV is mounted. You want the sound to sound like it's coming directly at the viewer. Then, aim the speaker either up or down to point directly at the listener. If you have a perforated projection screen, center this speaker both horizontally and vertically behind the screen.

Hi I have the SCS135 5.1 surround sound system and it has worked like a dream for the past 8 years. This week the powered subwoofer has been emitting a loud crackling noise - even when no source cable connected [i.e. not connection problem or shielding]. Is it simply time to replace the system due to age or can it be fixed? Thanks

you will need to put special glue which usally you can get from the stero store or radio shack. If you can not find it you need to get some of the foam glue from home depot and use as liitle as possible

Take it to a shop tomorrow that has a speaker cab that is compatible. That's the easiest way to determine where the buzzing is coming from.
