I think they are about as good as you can expect on your tight budget. Personally I would try looking on craigslist first and seeing if you can get a cheap used receiver and some used bookshelf speakers first, a decent pair of bookshelf speakers will sound much better. They will take a lot more room though. If you are not critical about sound quality the Logitechs will work though.
