Most modern TV's , if not all, do not have Optical or Coaxial inputs. They are all outs. If the equipment requires an analogue source such as RCA leads, make sure your TV and your PS are set to the correct digital or analogue settings as the PS3 had to be reset manually when cables were changed. The picture quality will be better in 1080 Hdmi.
