Re: Should i buy a hdtv or save money?

You're asking for opinions here, and this is mine: Go for it! HDTVs have become not only standard any more (there may still be some digital SDTVs being sold - but not many!), but have become incredibly inexpensive compared to the quality and longevity you get. Plus, how do you put a price on beauty, or enjoyment?
Of course, you can make the argument that they keep getting cheaper (at least until the next wave of improvements - when 4K and OLED start appearing in mass quantity), but it's just like the old question of technology - When do I jump in?
Sure, the moment you buy some tech gear, it's obsolete, and two weeks later the same gear costs less. That's just the way of the world. You have to decide if it's worth it to you - a little money in the bank, or a little money invested in high quality visuals and sound... your call - Good luck!

Re: Should i buy a hdtv or save money?

Buy an HDTV. Especially if you're not happy with the one you have now. TV's have come a long way, maybe even longer depending on how old your current tv is. Anyway, most 2013 televisions have excellent picture. More so than most from 2012. Although, buy your tv from an electronic store (NOT ONLINE, I've had too much bad experience with that) like Best Buy. Generally, they tend to have a good opinion on which tv and size is best for you. Plus, they don't work on commission so they tend to not push tvs that are too expensive for you. Buy a Plasma if you have a decently dim to dark room and you care for picture quality. LED if you have a very bright room or watch a lot of tv mostly during the day or watch a lot of sports.
