How do I connect my receiver to my sub for best quality.?

So here is the back of the sub-woofer.

I have a red/white to red/white rca audio cable can I use that? 

Can I connect the red and white of my sub to both of the receiver's sub-woofer outputs or should I just use one output. Or should I use a Y splitter or something?
