The 'optical out' on your PlayStation goes to an 'optical in' on the receiver. You can run HDMI to the TV and should get the same picture as before. You will most likely need to change audio settings within the PlayStation's setup menu, unless yours does it automatically - my PS3 does not. Have fun!
