So, I have this sony hi fi component system and like it has an ipod deck. I've been using this deck to play music and it's pretty good so far. Today, I was using it again but then, the music wouldn't play. I thought it was my ipod but it wasn't. On the ipod screen it says its playing, but music wont play on the sony system? NO. Keep in mind that there are only a handful of manufacturer that makes a universal Blu Ray disc player. They are clearly on the higher end of the price. I have a sharp mini component system cd-sw200 and I have read that it can only enter the timer mode with the remote but it somehow entered the timer mode and now the timer light is blinking and I cannot seem to turn the system on.When I click the power button I hear a clicking sound inside of the system.I do not have the remote so I cannot do anything.Can somebody with experience dealing with sharp mini component systems give me a hand?Please simplify your instructions.I already read the manual and it did not help much.Help! ... I will be getting a new set up with audioengine 5+ active speakers and a project debut carbon. The speakers will be on the same shelf but they will have a decent amount of space between the turntable, one on the right and one the left. Hello everyone!  So I have a "home theater in a box" amp that is 5.1 surround and is only 100 watts (weak. I know. But that is all i need for my size room.) I also have an 80 watt powered sub woofer that is just laying around. I want to use this sub woofer with my amp I currently have. The problem is, the sub woofer takes a cable that looks like an RCA jack ( i forget what it is actually called.) and the amp only has a regular speaker wire set up. So I just spliced a Yellow RCA cable and hooked up the positive and negative wires and so far it works perfectly!  But I'm wondering if in the long run this is a bad idea. I mean the entire amp is only rated 100 watts and I'm plugging an 80 watt amp into it. I'm also splicing a wire. So I'm wondering, should I be worried about this set up at all? I'm thinking about starting to collect Blu Ray now for my favourite movies as I see a massive improvement in them compared to the DVD. But when I get Blu Ray do I really need a surround speaker sound system to hear the new sound? Could the Tv I have play the full sound from Blu ray?
