I have a Hp Pavillion windows 8 and want to hook to a toshiba hd tv. I ordered a 10ft cord and got the 3ft instead but the cord works great, it is just too short. So I reordered the 10ft cord that looks identical with heavy braided outer and has filters at both ends. The longer cord is not working. My tv says no signal. If I switch back to the short cord it works fine again. The seller says they test their cords so it should work They are refunding so that part is ok. Is there a special voltage for gaming systems? I have seen some cords advertised as 1.4v. Why would my 10ft cord not work? I want to make sure I get the right cord next time. I tested all ports on the tv (3) and the results are the same with both cords.

Hi everyone, I have Tensai TS-9155 speakers set up attached into my amp however, when playing music it will come from one speaker which is on the left side of my table but then if i move towards the right of the room like take a step suddenly the right speaker picks up connection and plays really low and some what fuzzy. I've cut the plastic around the wiring so its longer and so on when I insert it into the amp but what exactly am I doing wrong in terms of somehow the speakers not projecting the music well?

Hi, I've been rather concerned lately about my DLP projector as often I will use it when I DJ. The room that I use the projector in is often fogged up to compliment laser lights. It's not extremely high end, I bough it for about $40 on sale at Menards and the fluid to go with it. My question is will the fog possibly hurt the projector or reduce image quality? I usually put a very, very thin fabric (like a filter) over the intakes to try to eliminate any residue getting inside, but I don't know if that really helps all too much. I use this same projector for home theatre and would stop gigging with it in an instant if it causes any harm to it. Thanks!

I am interesded in getting Harman Kardon AVR2650 7.1 receiver for my 5.1 sound system. I am going to use the 6th and 7th channel to bi amp to my front two speakers. Harman Kardon has a really crappy (don't know if that is too harsh) support staff, so I can't get my info from them. If any Techie here knows, that would be a lifesaver! Thanks

hello I'm constructing a new house and i need suggestions for the audio. i was originally going for 5.1 system plugged into an A/V receiver in my room but now i am getting confused between two huge tower speakers and the original plan. ( something like this http://www.bowerswilkins.net/Speakers/Home_Audio/600_Series/683.html ). please suggest what would do more justice. my room is big (600 sq ft) and i'm a huge fan of bass. is there a possiblity that i can get a 2.1 or 2.0 system for rear and two towers for front? or any combination of those? if yes, how will the audio split properly when i see a blu ray movie or something similar? also please suggest a good 5.1 and tower speaker brand. thanks in advance

I have this record player http://thumbs4.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mfnO1F8b648P8xmSA6qkQjg.jpg and it has the cables needed for speakers but the ac power cord is very awkward. It is a 16v 1w. I am baffled. The cord is pictured here. http://s992.photobucket.com/user/RetroMan13/media/Snapshot_20140107_zps5f644cf8.jpg.html So how can I get it power? I really would love some help or advice!

I recently brought some cables to do a (long) job of connecting some external source devices to my PC. Some of which will be using HDMI to DVI, I know DVI wont take audio but i learned you can connect audio via RCA to speaks. i brought all i needed RCA (standard Red, White and Yellow) and brought a converter to turn them from male to female input (Red and white, yellow isn't needed for audio), and brought a Red/White to a 3,5mm jack (female) to connect my speakers to, now everywhere on my net says this will work but when i got my Red/white to 3,5mm it came as a Red/Black (not white)... would i still be able to use this with the desired devices or would it not work? So in short, can a Red/White RCA connect into a Black/Red when connecting devices to a PC speakers?

If I do not plan to use a 3d feature on the TV, does it matter if I buy a 120Hz or 240Hz? 120Hz are considerably cheaper.
